Angelica’s Story

Hi! My name is Angelica and I am 21 years old. Last April I attempted suicide not realizing that I was suffering from depression since the age of 15. If was after my attempt that I was hospitalized and finally got some answers as to why i was doing and feeling the things I was. I am a young Latina therefore in our culture it is "not normal" to go through these things. I was diagnosed with Depression, and Bipolar II. My mental illness is what makes me beautiful because it gives me an alternate way of thinking about Life and and new love for humankind!
