Working to end the stigma and discrimination of mental illness.

Tracy’s Story

Dear Glenn,
You are a saint among the living. I can not tell you in 400 words how grateful I am of your tireless work to bring attention to Mental Illness and all the stigma that goes with it. I am a mother of a son that is dealing with Early Onset Schizophrenia. We learned of his diagnosis a little over 2 years ago. He is on medicine for this. Responding well to the medication and I am so thankful for it.

My heart is so broken knowing he may never have the life of other kids because of this illness. I want to cry a thousand tears so he is healed. I want to scream out loud so that the angels in heaven here my pleas to make him better. I run ahead of him to make sure the road is safe from those who may hurt him. My question is why? Why my son and why do I fight the good fight each and every day to make sure he is safe, loved and allowed to feel a part of this world. No child should ever have to suffer with this. It is not fair nor is it a wish I would want for anyone. I pray we can bring attention to the country and ask for more research into this and in our children's or grandchildren's time heal those and rid the world of it. Thank you Glenn. I truly love you for what it is you are doing so selflessly and without fanfair.
